Grassroute Terms of Use

Last updated: April 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Grassroute website and platform. Grassroute is operated by kadoH Ltd (company number 14751469), a company registered in England and Wales. In these Terms, references to “Grassroute”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean kadoH Ltd unless stated otherwise.

By accessing or using Grassroute, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. What Grassroute is

Grassroute is a grassroots football discovery, connection, and information platform. It may allow users to create or manage profiles, publish club or team information, browse listings, identify opportunities, and make contact with others in the grassroots football environment.

Grassroute is not a governing body, official regulator, sanctioning authority, safeguarding authority, or guarantee of the legitimacy, quality, safety, or availability of any club, event, organiser, listing, or opportunity appearing on the platform.

3. Eligibility and authority

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit content on behalf of a club, team, organisation, or event.
  • If you create, claim, manage, or update a club, team, or organisational profile, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.

4. Accounts and account security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for activity carried out through your account.
  • You must not impersonate another person or organisation, or create an account using false or misleading information.
  • You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorisation.
  • We may suspend or restrict accounts where we reasonably suspect misuse, false information, security risk, or breach of these Terms.

5. Club pages, listings and submissions

If you create, claim, or manage a club page, team profile, event listing, directory entry, or other submission, you are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the information you provide.

  • You must only submit information you are entitled to use and share.
  • You must not include personal data that is excessive, private, confidential, or posted without proper authority.
  • You must not upload content that infringes another person's rights, including privacy rights, data protection rights, intellectual property rights, or defamation protections.
  • You remain responsible for keeping your submitted information accurate and current.

Some club profiles on Grassroute have been pre-populated using publicly available information from County Football Association records and league directories. These profiles are marked as “Unclaimed” and may be claimed by an authorised representative of the club. If you believe a pre-populated profile contains inaccurate information, please contact us and we will correct or remove it.

Where the platform offers push notifications or email notifications, these are provided on an opt-in basis. You may enable or disable notifications at any time through your account settings. Push notifications require your browser or device permission, which you can revoke at any time through your browser or device settings.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Grassroute to:

  • break the law or encourage unlawful behaviour;
  • harass, abuse, threaten, deceive, or discriminate against others;
  • publish false, misleading, defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate content;
  • post spam, unsolicited marketing, malware, or malicious code;
  • scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform without permission;
  • attempt to interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the website or platform;
  • post sensitive, excessive, or inappropriate child-related information; or
  • use the platform in a way that could create safeguarding, privacy, reputational, or legal risk.

7. Children and safeguarding

Grassroute operates in a setting that may involve youth football and related activities. Users must take particular care when submitting content that could relate to children.

  • Do not publish unnecessary personal details about children.
  • Do not post sensitive or medical information about children.
  • Only publish child-related content where you have the right and authority to do so.
  • We may remove, edit, or restrict content where we believe privacy or safeguarding concerns arise.

8. User content and licence

You retain ownership of content you submit to Grassroute. However, by posting or submitting content through the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, format, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content to operate, improve, promote, and protect the platform.

This licence continues only for so long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to any legal, archival, evidential, or technical requirements.

9. Moderation, takedown and suspension

We may, without notice where reasonably necessary, remove content, edit listings, suspend accounts, restrict access, or take other action if we believe there has been a breach of these Terms or that content creates legal, privacy, safeguarding, technical, or reputational risk.

We are not obliged to monitor all content, but we reserve the right to review and act on reports, complaints, or concerns raised by users or third parties.

10. Accuracy and no endorsement

Grassroute is a platform. We do not guarantee that profiles, listings, events, directory entries, messages, or other user-generated content are accurate, complete, current, safe, or suitable for your purposes.

Inclusion on the platform does not amount to endorsement, accreditation, verification, or recommendation by Grassroute or kadoH Ltd. Users should carry out their own checks before relying on information, making arrangements, attending events, or engaging with third parties.

11. Third-party services and links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites, tools, booking pages, maps, social media pages, integrations, or services. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or terms of those third-party services.

12. Intellectual property

Except for user content, all intellectual property rights in the Grassroute website, platform design, branding, code, text, graphics, databases, and related materials are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, adapt, republish, or exploit any part of the platform except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

13. Availability and changes to the service

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, function, or part of the platform at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may carry out maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or security work from time to time.

14. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grassroute is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis, without warranties, representations, or guarantees that the service will always be available, secure, accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

  • We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or loss of data arising from use of, or inability to use, the platform.
  • We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, conduct, statements, or content of users, clubs, organisers, or third parties.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If liability to you is established and cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability in connection with the platform will, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to GBP 100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater. If the relevant use of Grassroute is free of charge, the GBP 100 cap applies.

15. Your responsibility to us

You are responsible for losses, costs, claims, or liabilities we incur as a result of your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the platform, or content you submit in breach of another person's rights.

16. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. If the website uses cookies or similar technologies beyond those strictly necessary for operation, the live site will also provide appropriate cookie disclosures and consent controls where required.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on the Grassroute website with the updated revision date. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of Grassroute, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
